Week 16 Survey

How far along: 16 weeks, 4 days
Total weight gain/loss: Ok, this is tricky because I don’t really know my starting weight & it actually fluctuates on a daily basis. I’ll just go with my average normal weight of around 63 kilograms. According to the scale this morning, I have (surprisingly!) only gained about a pound. At the doctor’s office, I always weigh less than my scale at home though. My next visit is right after the holidays, so that could change. ;)
Stretch marks: Nope
Sleep: I shouldn’t complain, but I’m tossing and turning much more than I used to. Maybe I did that before the pregnancy too, but now I usually wake up because of it.
Best moment in the last week: On Sunday, we went out to lunch with Guenni’s brother, sister-in-law, and our two godchildren. I didn’t catch what was going on, but all of a sudden David (my godson, 3 years old) half-screamed, “She has a baby in her belly!”
Movement: Random tickles from inside. I’m convinced it’s baby!
Gender: Still a surprise!
Food Cravings: Nothing in particular. I’ve been drinking A LOT of milk the past 1 ½ weeks though. Half a liter (about half a quart or a little more than a pint) at a time is no problem.
Belly Button in or out: In
What I miss: Sleeping on my back. I’m not supposed to anymore.
What I am looking forward to: 12 days off for the holidays!!!
Weekly Wisdom: The second most common question I’ve heard so far (besides the question of baby’s gender) is if we have plans to get married. I can honestly answer: I don’t know!
Milestones: Belly definitely grew this past week! Could be due to baby’s growth spurt predicted for around this week. Baby is now apparently making faces too.
Baby Brain Moment of the Week: Not sure I had one…
Belly-button ring Status: Still in!
Labor Signs: Hopefully not until the end of May or so!
Weekly Belly Pic: These pictures were taken at a Christmas party on December 17th. I have to say that they were taken after I had just eaten a lot of delicious food, but it’s obvious I can’t blame it only on that. ;)

Lift the scarf for a surprise!

Last but not least, I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year 2010! It's going to be an exciting one for us!
