Fun with Uroma & Uropa and just being happy

Kai is very lucky to still have a set of great-grandparents who happen to live only a few minutes away. We try to visit them at least once a week. Last Sunday, we were there and Kai enjoyed throwing things on the floor (also see below). Even MORE, he enjoyed when his Uropa (Great-Grandpa) picked them up.

Here he is at home - once again, throwing things to see where they go.

Kai already has a girlfriend - Carla. Her mom and I met while we were in the birth-prep classes. Ever since then, we meet on a regular basis. Carla is only 5 days older, but let me tell you - she is MILES ahead of Kai when it comes to mobility! It's so interesting to watch!

Speaking of mobility - Kai now sometimes turns from his back to his stomach! We visited an osteopath a few weeks ago because he still refused to stay on his stomach for more than a few seconds and didn't seem to be interested in moving around. I figured he could check Kai just to make sure that everything was ok and nothing was preventing him from moving. It turned out that Kai had two small "blockages"/tight areas in his neck and upper back that he massaged for a while. Since then, Kai has been making progress. He immediately stayed on his stomach for longer periods of time and is now turning over and trying more things. He is still far from crawling or standing or walking, but hey, these things have to be learned. :)

He's still quite the happy baby (especially when other people are around) and we even get many comments about how friendly and content he is. His laugh is absolutely contagious and is sometimes so random!

Here, we were playing with a balloon yesterday.
