Week 37

All is well. I went to another acupuncture session this morning. The midwife stayed and chatted with us for a while. She looked at my belly today and said, "from the look of your belly, baby could come any day now." And that coming from a midwife... We'll see. All is still quiet for now. :)

This week, Guenni and I got a lot accomplished. Yesterday, we took care of some important bureaucratic business. Since Guenni and I are not married, there were some things that should be settled BEFORE baby arrives, otherwise we could have run into big problems if something should happen to me or if I have to stay in the hospital longer than one week. Basically, Guenni would not have any rights to his child otherwise. He had to claim fathership and I had to "give" him partial custody. We didn't have any problems with that, and now I feel better that that is taken care of.

Baby's room is also about 99% finished. I still have to take some pictures...

All in all, I'm finally starting to feel like everything is almost in place.

Since yesterday, baby is also considered full term, so the countdown is officially on!

How far along: 37+1 - Full term!!!

Stretch marks: I think I have one around the area where my belly piercing used to be. Other than that, no
Sleep: Can't complain. I'm currently pretty good at sleeping late, actually
Best moment in the last week: Can't really pinpoint a particular one
Movement: Either lots of movement or none at all. :)
Gender: Boy or girl, boy or girl...
Food Cravings: None, but my appetite is still pretty strong! I don't know where it goes though. Apparently, there's not supposed to be much room left.
Belly Button in or out: Mostly out now, but it does sometimes go back in when I'm sitting. Baby's position seems to have a big influence on this!
What I miss: Effortless movement
What I am looking forward to: BABY (as if that isn't obvious)!!! Still waiting for warmer, better weather.

Baby Brain Moment of the Week: I got gas the other day and wanted to pay with my debit card. I had to enter my pin number 3 times - and it was wrong 3 times. Of course, my card was then blocked. I was absolutely positive that I had entered the correct number, but several hours later at home, I realized the first number was wrong. I blame it on pregnancy brain. ;)
